So, on the latest podcast, I did a story about Suno and Udio being sued by the RIAA. As an example of how this works, I had Suno create a song based on the prompt, “A folk song about the RIAA suing Suno.” It came up with a song that it titled, “Money Talks, Music Walks.”

Since this is just to demonstrate the state of the technology, I provided no other creative input whatsoever. So, none of this is my lyrics, or my music, or my motives or phrasing or chord progression or anything. It wasn’t demonstrating my talents as a musician, composer, or lyricist, and of course it made a LOT of decisions I wouldn’t have made. Nevertheless, just for the historical preservation of it, I’m posting the entire song here, not just the edited bits I included in the podcast.

I hope you enjoy, or if you don’t, I hope you at least have an appreciation for what this technology is able to do—and isn’t. It might be interesting to revisit this in a year or two or five and see how much better it gets, or how much better it’ll never be without a creative human mind driving it.
